Hunter Prelude provides supports to children who receive funding through Helping Children with AUTISM and Better Start
Supports under these 2 programs can be provided:
- In your home or community to support your child and family
- In your child’s Early Childhood Education Setting or at School
- At one of the Hunter Prelude centres in Kurri Kurri or Singleton
What we can provide:
- Advice, support and individualised strategies to parents, teaching staff and other people involved with your child
- Assessments by Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologist
- Development of your child’s speech, language, communication and literacy skills
- Assistance with sensory processing difficulties
- Assistance with play and friendships, bathing, dressing, meal times and feeding, and toileting skills
- Adapting seating, positioning and equipment
- Assistance with developing skills in drawing, writing and cutting
- Assistance with behaviour management
- Advice and support to facilitate transitions to Early Childcare Education Settings or Schools
- Support to purchase resources for your child through FaHCSIA funding
Our FaHCSIA team includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologist.
